Marrakech to Fes 2 Day Tour via Erg Chebbi dunes is perfect for the people who have tight  time in Morocco but they would like to experience camel trek & overnight stay at camp in Merzouga desert. This 2-day tour Marrakech to Fes will depart with Pick up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech early morning at 7:00 a.m in order to have enough time to make as many stops along the way as possible and depart to the High Atlas mountains traveling through Tizi N´Tichka pass with stops for impressive panoramic views and taking photos of the authentic Berber small villages that disguise in the landscapes.

Then we continue south to the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou where we will make a quick stop for pictures or do a short visit if you are traveling in summer months when the day is long enough. The famous Kasbah (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot in this spectacular place including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz…etc. Our 2-day desert tour Marrakech to Fes continues to see Film studios and Taourirt kasbah from outside in Ouarzazate, make other quick stops for the pictures at different places where the scenery is spectacular. On the second day after watching the sunrise over the dune near the camp, you’ll have a delicious breakfast and take shower at the camp then you will ride the camels again back to the original started located or by 4WD as you wish. From here we’ll continue direction to Fes via Ziz Valley the second-longest river in Morocco, cross the middle atlas mountains where you’ll enjoy incredible views, free time to have lunch at a restaurant then in the afternoon we head towards Fes we’ll stop at Cedar forest in Azrou where we’ll see the wild monkeys, a short walk through the forest to take pictures…we’ll stop at Ifrane the little Switzerland of Morocco finally we’ll reach Fes in the late-afternoon drop you off at your hotel and ends of our Marrakech to Fes 2 Day Tour.

Tour Itinerary : Best Marrakech to Fes 2 Day Tour

Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas mountains - Ouarzazate - Merzouga Desert { 564 km }

Your Marrakech desert tour 2 days will start with pick up by your driver from Sahara Camel Trips company at your hotel/riad in Marrakech early in the morning and depart to the High Atlas mountains, going through Tizi N´Tichka port with stops for magnificent panoramic views and take photos of the Berber villages and its beautiful landscape. Then we will travel south to Ait ben Haddou (fortified village) declared a world heritage site by UNESCO since 1986, many famous films were recorded in this amazing place such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, The Jewel of the Nile, The Mummy ...our trip continues to Ouarzazate also known as “The gate of the desert” that in the Berber language means “noiseless ". Here we´ll see the Taourirt kasbah one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco. The next site to see is Rose Valley going through the big Skoura palm grove a beautiful place to contemplate countless palms and numerous kasbahs that are built in the surrounding area we'll stop for lunch. We'll pass by Dades & Todra valleys, Tinejdad, Touroug, and then we continue our way to the desert to reach the stunning dunes of Merzouga where we´ll experience the Camel trekking through the golden Erg Chebbi desert with a break to watch the incredible sunset over the dunes, try Sandboarding in the sand if you are interested, enjoy the beautiful landscapes... until the sun goes down then continue to Berber Camp Merzouga where you will be greeted with a glass of mint tea and relax till dinner time, after that there will be some traditional Berber drumming music around the fire, admire a beautiful starry sky and then sleep nomadic tented camp.

Day 2 : Erg Chebbi - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Middle atlas – Cedar forest – Fes { 470 km }

On the second day after watching the sunrise over the dune near the camp, you’ll have a delicious breakfast and take shower at the camp then you will ride the camels again back to the original started located or we can transfer you in 4WD as you wish. From here we’ll continue direction to Fes via Ziz Valley the second-longest river in Morocco, cross the middle atlas mountains where you’ll enjoy incredible views, free time to have lunch at a restaurant then in the afternoon we head towards Fes we’ll stop at Cedar forest in Azrou where we’ll see the wild monkeys, a short walk through the forest to take pictures…we’ll stop at Ifrane the little Switzerland of Morocco finally we’ll reach Fes in the late afternoon drop you off at your hotel and ends of our Marrakech to Fes 2 Day Tour ends.
