Tour Itinerary: 9 Days Tour From Casablanca

Day 1 : Casablanca and drive to Fes {295 km} 3 Hours

We will pick you up at the airport and drive directly to Fes enjoying the view of fertile lands of Rabat and Meknes city in the way, till you arrive at your riad in Fes in which you will spend the night.

Day 2 : Fes Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast in your riad, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 14th century.

We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest one in the world, the Tanneries, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Overnight at the hotel/riad.

Day 3 : Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Ziz Valley - Merzouga {470 km} 7 Hours

After breakfast, you will leave Fes traveling towards Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz valley. Today you will travel via the Ifrane city, a beautiful mountain village, named the Switzerland of Morocco.

Here you will also stop at the cedar forest on the middle Atlas Mountains. During this journey, you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains and stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest the largest one in Morocco – where you will have the opportunity to see the Barbary apes.

After that, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas. After lunch in Midelt, you’ll be traveling through the fascinating Tizi Ntalghamt pass and the spectacular Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, seeing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the province of the south-east Errachidia city.

Afterward, you’ll travel along the fantastic Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before checking into your hotel/riad.

Day 4 : Explore Merzouga area – Erg Chebbi - Camel Trek and Night at desert Camp {50 km} 3 Hours

After breakfast at your hotel we’ll start our Merzouga 4×4 excursion to explore different and interesting sites around Erg Chebbi dunes we’ll visit Hassi Labied oasis to see its irrigation canal and land agriculture, we’ll head south to the seasonal Sriji lake ( if there’s water in it).

We’ll continue to Khamlia village if you are interested to listen to the Gnawa music of the dark skin people who were brought to Morocco as immigration over hundred years ago and they were working as slaves…

Afterward, we’ll continue to M’ifis mines Besides, the tourism Merzouga desert is also famous for minerals and fossils during our Merzouga 4×4 desert tour we’ll have the opportunity to visit a nomad Berber family who is still living in their tent in the middle of the Sahara we’ll have a glass of mint tea with them and learn about life in the desert…

We’ll make stops at different panoramic views to enjoy the scenery and take pictures of the sights…after lunch at a local restaurant we’ll come back to the village from here you will do camel trekking to reach our Berber Camp in Merzouga the camel ride takes 1 – 1:30 h with a break on top of the dunes to watch the sunset, try the sandboarding if that’s an activity you’re interested in, enjoy the views, take photos.

Then after these beautiful moments you’ll continue to the camp where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of tea and relax until dinner time, after having dinner there’s be some traditional Berber drumming music, enjoy the starry sky then sleep under a nomadic tent. 

Day 5 : Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley {270 km} 4 Hours

On the morning of the 5th day of our 9 days desert tour from Casablanca your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life, after breakfast and a hot shower in the camp, You’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the original departure point or we’ll transfer you by 4WD as an alternative to camels.

After meeting your driver you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy guest house overlooking the Dades valley with diner and breakfast.

Day 6 : Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech {330 km} 7 Hours

Our 9 days tour from Casablanca continues after having your breakfast you will start traveling through the Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate and then to Marrakech.

The route through Dades Valley is called the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. You will stop at Kalaat Mgouna the center of roses valley, where you will have the option to visit the cooperative for the roses, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over.

Continue to Marrakech via the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 19th century, now the Kasbah is a house of many Glaoui people. Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains, where you will have the opportunity to explore the process of producing the argan oil –  existing only in Morocco – by Berber women in their cooperative, before arriving at your overnight accommodation in Marrakech.

Day 7 : Marrakech Sightseeing city Tour

After breakfast in the riad, you can start exploring Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to wander by yourself to the other parts of the city.  

Day 8 : Free day in Marrakech

On the 8th day of the private 9 days tour from Casablanca, You’ll have an option of doing one day to Essaouira or just an easy day relaxing in Marrakech.

Day 9 : Airport transfer

This is the last day of 9 days tour from Casablanca where you will be transferred directly to the airport.
