Azrou which is “Azru” in Berber dialect means “stone” or “rock” with a population of 81,350 and located 70 kilometers south of Fez in Ifrane Province. Azrou nestled at about 1200 m above sea level in the heart of the Middle Atlas mountains surrounded by Oaks and Cedars which give it an incredible charm.

Cedar forest

The cedar Gauroud forest is a woodland zone in Morocco Middle Atlas mountains range, it was named because of the French general Henri Gouraud who discovered the first tree (Gauroud Tree), and then the tree spread and becomes a forest.
