Tour Itinerary: Marrakech to Fes 3 day Desert Tour

Day 1 : Marrakech - Tizi N'tichka Pass - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Kelaa M'gouna - Boumalne Dades {330 km} 7 Hours

After breakfast you will be picked up by your driver from Sahara Camel Trips company from your hotel/riad at 8 :30 a.m and start our 3 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes traveling over Tizi n’Tichka pass ( 2260 m ).

While enjoying super views of the Atlas mountains and authentic small Berber villages on the way with breaks to take pictures then continue to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou (fortified village) the famous Kasbah declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 noumerous of films have been shot in this spectacular place including Gladiator , Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz…

Day 2: Boumalne Dades - Todra Gorges - Tinejdad - Erfoud - Erg Chebbi (Merzouga) {270 km} 4 Hours

After breakfast at hotel our Marrakech to Fes 3 day desert tour depart to Todra Gorge the berber villages are scattered along the way pass through Tinghir we’ll stop to admire the beautiful Todra valley full of palm trees before we arrive to Todra Gorges that are currently one of the most popular rock climbing destinations in Morocco.

 Here we will have a short walk through its grey and pink high canyons that can reach 300 m after that we’ll head to Tinjdad and Touroug where we’ll have lunch then to Erfoud which will feel the beginning Saharan oasis of Tafilalet afterwards we will continue our way to Merzouga and majestic Erg Chebbi dunes.

From here you will take camel ride about one hour and half in order to get to your Nomadic berber tents during the trek you will take a break in the middle of the dunes to watch the sunset, try the sandboarding if that’s an activity you’re interested in, take photos and enjoy the scenery…

After the sun goes down you will continue to the camp where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea, dinner, camp fire , music party , and overnight stay at Berber camp Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga - Ziz valley - Errachidia - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes {470 km} 7 Hours

On the third day after watching the sunrise over the dune near the camp, you’ll have a delicious breakfast and take shower at the camp then you will ride the camels again back to the original started located or we can transfer you in 4WD as an alternative to camels.

From here we’ll continue direction to Fes via Ziz Valley the second-longest river in Morocco, cross the middle atlas mountains where you’ll enjoy incredible views, free time to have lunch at a restaurant.

Then in the afternoon we head towards Fes we’ll stop at Cedar forest in Azrou where we’ll see the wild monkeys, a short walk through the forest to take pictures…we’ll stop at Ifrane the little Switzerland of Morocco finally we’ll reach Fes in the late afternoon drop you off at your hotel and ends of our Marrakech to Fes 3 day desert tour ends.
